David Beckham reveals Sir Alex Ferguson made him shave off his mohawk in stadium toilets
Catchup News hears today that David Beckham revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson made him shave his famous mohawk off in the Wembley toilets off just hours before Manchester United's Charity Shield clash with Chelsea in 2000. The relationship between Beckham and his manager at United reportedly grew strained before he was eventually sold to Real Madrid three years later. Beckham explained, "I was in the dressing room with an hour to go before kick off when Sir Alex Ferguson saw it and made me shave it off. I said no at first and then I saw his face change very quickly so I went and shaved it off in the toilet. He was very strict.” Beckham also made an confession regarding one of his more memorable hairstyles over the years, referring to his cornbraids a "bad decision”. Catchup News wonders if Ferguson ever told him to “go home and change” or that his bum “looks big in that sarong.”
