Diego Costa pelted fans with celery during Chelsea's victory parade

Catchup News learns today that it may not be seen at Stamford Bridge any more because of a banning order, but Chelsea fans certainly still love to bring out the celery when celebrating. You may be wondering why celery has been banned from a football stadium. Well it’s because of the rude lyrics and disruption it causes on the pitch, but the much-loved tradition can still be seen when groups of Chelsea fans gather at away games and in Europe. We bet the opposition love that. And the street cleaners. The victory parade around west London yesterday was no different and as thousands lined the streets, the vegetable was prominently featured. In particular Diego Costa, who has been instrumental for Chelsea this season, scoring 20 goals in the Premier League this season, was in the thick of the action, giving as good as he got with the celery. His enthusiasm for the tradition was captured on both the Chelsea Twitter and Vine accounts. He was probably getting his eye in for hitting the target more next season. More from Catchup News next.
