Louis Tomlinson is the next member of 1D to announce move away from band
Catchup News learns today that just a month after Zayn Malik announced his departure from One Direction, a second member of the band has announced a significant career change. You may say it’s a change of direction, if you were so inclined. Yes, Louis Tomlinson has started his own record label, and intends to launch the project next year with full Sony backing as an subsidiary of Simon Cowell’s Syco label. That sound you’re hearing is the noise of Simon Cowell’s bank account rolling in substantial new numbers. We bet he just can’t get enough of these boys and their money making schemes. The singer’s first signing is X Factor finalist Jack Walton. The second will be a girlband he’s set to hold auditions for. So it’ll basically just be Syco then. Manufactured pop. What a novel idea Louis. “It’s absolutely great to be working with Syco on a label,” Tomlinson, 23, told The Sun. “This is something I've wanted to do for some time, and to be given the opportunity to potentially give new artists a platform is an incredible feeling. I hope to sign some really exciting artists down the line.” We hate to sound sarcastic, but we’re sure you will Louis. More from Catchup News after we audition to be in that girl group.
