Serena Williams Announces ‘Vogue’ Cover With Epic Lemon Dance

Serena Williams has officially earned her MILF card!

Just four months after giving birth to baby girl, Alexis Olympia, Williams reminded us that although a new mom, her dancing skills have not gone out the window. In fact, they might’ve even improved.

In efforts to announce her new Vogue cover, Williams took on Pharrell and Rihanna’s “Lemon” dance challenge and according to the producer, the tennis pro nailed it!

Stepping out of a private jet, Williams, clad in a pair of shorts, a white long sleeved shirt and Nike cortez’s, almost immediately drops it like it’s hot.

And speaking of hot, Williams is absolutely glowing on the cover of the fashion publication. Wearing a red dress, the beauty smiles from ear to ear as she holds her bundle of joy.

In the issue, the mother of one discusses work, marriage and being a mom. “We’re not spending a day apart until she’s eighteen,” Serena kind of said joking about not letting go of her daughter.

She explained, “Now that I’m 36 and I look at my baby, I remember that this was also one of my goals when I was little, before tennis took over, when I was still kind of a normal girl who played with dolls. Oh, my God, I loved my dolls.”

Williams also tackled her possible move to San Francisco. “To be honest, there’s something really attractive about the idea of moving to San Francisco and just being a mom,” she said about the city where her husband, Reddit cofound, Alexis Ohanian is based.

She continued, “But not yet. Maybe this goes without saying, but it needs to be said in a powerful way: I absolutely want more Grand Slams. I’m well aware of the record books, unfortunately. It’s not a secret that I have my sights on 25.”

Earlier this month, it was announced that Williams will not be playing in the Australian Open because she needs a little more time to prepare. The athlete, who won last year’s Open while pregnant, said in a statement; “The memory of last year’s Open is one that I will carry with me, and Olympia and I look forward to coming back again. I appreciate the support and understanding of my fans and everyone at the Australian Open.”

And although she needs to continue to prepare for a big match, she explained to Vogue, “Knowing I’ve got this beautiful baby to go home to makes me feel like I don’t have to play another match. I don’t need the money or the titles or the prestige. I want them, but I don’t need them. That’s a different feeling for me.”
